DE Hugh Douglas played the entire season with two tears in his right shoulder and had surgery immediately after the Super Bowl to correct both. The 33-year-old Douglas will face a six-month rehab, but at full health would be able to help a team next season. He wants to stay with the Eagles, but knows that might not be possible with several young defensive ends on the roster. . . .
TE Chad Lewis' foot injury combined with the fact he'll turn 34 next season may have the team looking for a tight end during the first day of the draft to pair with TE L.J. Smith. Lewis may decide to return for another season, but the team needs to get another young tight end on the roster sooner rather than later.
