Where'd our offense go?

Donovan McNabb getting sacked and sacked again? The Eagles being held to 228 yards of offense of which the league's leading passer throws for a grand total of 168 yards? As McNabb commented, "It can't get any worse. With 4-4, it's just not us." I believe the latter, and I sure hope he's right about the former!

What's most depressing to me is who we've lost the last three (straight) to: the New Orleans Saints! The Tampa Bay Bucs! And now the Jacksonville Jaguars. We are ready for a bye week!

Eagles Stunned By Last Second Loss

Two Tampa Bay TDs came via interceptions off of our Donovan McNabb, but the momentum seemed to be all Philadelphia’s when Brian Westbrook covered 52 yards to make the score 21-20 with only 33 seconds to go.

But it ain’t over ‘til it’s over. The Buccaneers’ Matt Bryant kicked a 62-yard field goal, and then it really was over. 23-21. Oof! When you gain over 500 yards to the other guys’ 214 and still lose, that’s tough. Better luck with Jacksonville, Eagles!

The Fantoo Girls did it again. Every time the radio broadcasters, Carol & Robin, turn their back on the game the teams start scoring. This has been the case with a few teams including the Philadelphia Eagles. Could this be superstition or just plain coincidence? The girls have won the Best Sports Podcasting in 2006 from People’s Choice Podcast Awards & they also host a show on Philadelphia’s Sport Talk on Saturdays. Whatever it is, we hope the girls leave at least half way into the game of our favorite teams so we can start scoring.

Monday Night Fabulous

Who needs T.O.?
After the smackdown we just put on Favre and his Packers, I think a lot of people are going to be believers. We’ve got the best fans, the best team, and the best city in the country. Everyone else can suck it.

Eagles Looking to Stay On the Offensive

We’ve got some of the NFL’s most impressive offensive talent to use on the Green Bay Packers for Monday night football fans. The Eagles’ QB, Donovan McNabb, went into Week 4 leading the league in passing with 960 yards and seven TDs vs. a solitary interception. A couple other key players are listed as “questionable,” but RB Brian Westbrook has been setting records even with his injured knee! He has been leading the NFL in yardage from scrimmage and touchdowns (5 so far).

I love a high-scoring game, at least when Philadelphia does the scoring. I predict a lot of that tonight.
